Uncover the magic of handwritten letters in shaping young minds! This presentation delves into the merits of incorporating handwriting in the literacy education of young English learners. Drawing from an extensive 8-month letter exchange project, the study highlights the distinct advantages of manual writing over digital alternatives. As my 3rd graders engaged in the meticulous act of handwriting, the project unearthed significant improvements in fine motor skills, language acquisition, and creativity. Emphasizing the enduring efficacy of traditional methods, this exploration encourages educators to consider the benefits of manual writing in enhancing the literacy skills of young learners.
